This is the March 2008 Member Showcase photo of the month, as judged by APME. An unidentified man stands on the hood of his submerged vehicle Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in the flood waters of Twin Creek on County Line Road in Dayton, Ohio. The man was later rescued Farmersville firefighters and was unharmed.

The Associated Press Managing Editors association awards Member Showcase Photo honors each month for the best image shared by a newspaper with other Associated Press photo users. The competition is judged by a panel of AP and member photo editors. The best of the monthly Showcase photos receives a Member Showcase Photo prize at the APME annual conference in October.
